So, there I was, with everything I had ever wanted. The house – check. The car – check. The salary – check. And let's not forget about the husband – check. On paper, I had it all - by all worldly standards, I should have been content and fulfilled. But deep down, I was anything but happy. In fact, I was miserable.
Depression and discontentment had taken hold of me, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. I was confused and questioning the purpose of it all. I knew something missing, something that all these material possessions couldn't fill.
And so, I embarked on a journey - a soul-searching quest to discover the true essence of wholeness, seeking guidance from a biblical perspective.
Little did I know, as I delved into the scriptures and sought wisdom from the Holy Spirit, that this journey would take me places I never expected. It would challenge my beliefs, question my values, and ultimately lead me to a profound concept that would change my life. But hey, life is all about the unexpected, right? It was the understanding that true fulfillment does not lie solely in material possessions or external achievements, but rather, in nurturing the core of our being and aligning our lives with a higher purpose.
Now let's be clear, this was not a new concept for me, BUT revisiting what I knew and applying it to where I was in my life opened up a new meaning of this for me—a deep inward journey of self-discovery, healing, and spiritual growth. I began to understand that wholeness encompassed not only my physical well-being, but also my emotional, mental, and spiritual health - living well in all areas of life according to 3 John 1:2.
Through much fasting, prayer, self-reflection, and therapy, I started unraveling the layers of conditioning and false beliefs that had kept me bound in a cycle of dissatisfaction. I learned to listen to the whispers of the Holy Spirit, following His guidance towards a more meaningful and purposeful life.
On this path, I have discovered how to "Live Wellthy". I also discovered that it is not a destination to be reached, but a lifelong journey of self-awareness and self-acceptance. It is about embracing all of our experiences, both joyful and painful, and learning from them. It is about cultivating gratitude for the blessings and letting go of regret, resentment and comparison.
As I continue down this unique and profound path, I realize that true wellth lies in the integration of all aspects of our being—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. It is about finding balance and harmony within ourselves and aligning our lives with God's Word and walking out our purpose.
I am profoundly thankful for this journey, it has taught me that genuine contentment and fulfillment do not lie in external circumstances but in the inner depths of our relationship with God. My understanding of Living Wellthy continues to grow, and I willingly embrace both the burdens and blessings it brings, knowing that each step I take draws me closer to a deeper connection with my authentic self, God's love, and the person He truly intended me to be.
Dear friend, I pray for good fortune in everything you do, and for your good health - that your everyday affairs prosper, as well as your soul! 3 John 1:2 MSG
